UNION, N.Y. -- A rollover accident happened Saturday afternoon when a 12-year-old child got behind the wheel.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Department, Michelle Lynn Hill let her 12-year-old daughter drive the car in the parking lot of the Heritage Country Club in Union. Hill's two other children were riding in the back seat of the car.

Sheriff's deputies said the car eventually sped out of control, drove out of the parking lot, and rolled over an embankment. The car rolled over two times.

All three children inside the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Deputies said they were all wearing their seatbelts.

Hill was arrested and charged with three counts of felony reckless endangerment.
