SCHUYLER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Schuyler County man has been found guilty of charges in connection with one of the biggest meth labs ever uncovered in the Southern Tier.
John Barton was on trial in federal court in Rochester. Friday, the verdict was read, finding him guilty of manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine, as well as possessing a weapon used during drug trafficking.
It was at his home on Roloson Hollow Road in the Town of Dix where police say they discovered a meth lab in a shed behind the house, along with several guns and cash.
Two other men have already pleaded guilty in the case.
