TIOGA COUNTY, Pa. -- A former Tioga County priest has been convicted of child sexual abuse.

Thomas Shoback was found guilty of abusing a former altar boy while he was a priest at St. Mary's Parish in Blossburg.

Shoback was convicted of seven counts of involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, one count of criminal attempt to commit involuntary deviant sexual intercourse and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

The abuse took place between 1991 and 1997.

The Tioga County District Attorney says Shoback's sentencing will be determined once the Sexual Offenders Assessment Board completes their review of the case.
