ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Shoppers were out in full force Wednesday picking up last minute items for Thanksgiving dinner.
The Wegmans in DeWitt was crowded early in the afternoon with people preparing for the arrival of family and friends. Carts were full of turkeys, stuffing and desserts for the big day.
"It's not bad yet. I know it's going to get worse later, so that's why I came a little bit earlier. Just some last minute munchies, mostly. I already have my turkey, so just some soda, munchies, things like that," Chittenango resident Lourdes Farsaci said.
Some said it was worth putting up with the crowds to make sure their family dinners had all the traditional favorites.
