The Orange took down the top ten Louisville Cardinals in a major upset in the Carrier Dome on Saturday. Our Katie Gibas spoke with fans about the big win, and the potential for a bowl game.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It was something that most fans only dreamed about. In their final home game of the season, SU football upset the undefeated Louisville Cardinals 45-26.

"I thought the game was incredible. It beat my expectations," said Lisa Collins, an SU Fan.

The win puts the Orange at 5-5 for the season, with two more games to play.

"I think this program is definitely turning around. And I'm excited for the city of Syracuse and our football program. I'm excited for us to be getting back on track. And I think Doug Marrone is doing a wonderful job," said Justin Eldred, an SU Fan.

Collins added, "I saw improvement with each game, something that they did differently. So it looks like they were analyzing each game and they were thinking about what they were doing. They were trying to better themselves with each game."

Fans say with SU's upset win on Saturday, they're confident the momentum will carry them to a bowl game this season.

"I think it is very likely we'll get a bowl game, maybe even the BCS title, so it will be nice to end the Big East with a nice title game," said Peter Ilczyszyn, an SU Fan.

Kaci Burnell, another SU Fan added, "If they play like this, absolutely, absolutely. I hope they do. I'll come to that game if I can."

SU will need one more win to make it to a bowl game. Both of the final two games are on the road as they close out their stay in the Big East. Next year, they'll be playing in the ACC where the Orange will face much stiffer competition.

"I think they'll play to their ability with the challenge they have. So I think it will be great," said Teri Maxwell, an SU Fan.

Collins added, "I think like anything, you rise to the challenge. The tougher you make the expectations and challenges, the tougher you become, so I think we can do it."
